Psychotherapist
OH
Hello, I'm Amy. I decided to become a therapist very early in life. My mother suffered from mental illness, which inspired me to spend my life helping others. This personal experience has deeply influenced my approach to therapy. I not only have the education and experience, but I also have first-hand knowledge of how important it is to take care of ourselves and our mental health. With over 20 years of experience, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of age groups, from early adolescents to the geriatric population. My communication style is genuine, personable, and supportive. I strive to make each client feel accepted, listened to, and validated. As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, I specialize in a variety of areas including dementia, eating disorders, medical issues and physical health, OCD, phobias, PTSD, spirituality, stress, trauma, depression, anxiety, and grief/bereavement. My goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. When you work with me, you can expect a collaborative and empathetic approach. I believe in the power of a strong therapeutic relationship and am committed to helping you navigate your challenges and achieve your goals. Together, we will work towards understanding your experiences and finding effective strategies to improve your well-being. I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your journey to better mental health. Please feel free to reach out and take the first step towards a healthier, more fulfilling life.
