Deciding to start the journey of therapy is something people come to for so many reasons. To heal trauma. To grieve. To vent. To find the way through a huge life transition. To discover who they are. To learn better ways to cope. To find a way to become unstuck when things just aren’t working. I am here as a safe space for you to sit through these feelings, develop new patterns, and experience emotional wellness and healing. My approach I practice from a variety of theoretical frameworks, drawing on aspects of Cognitive-Behavioral and Psychodynamic approaches through a trauma-informed lens. This involves identifying and challenging present thought patterns and resultant behaviors, while also looking deeper into how intergenerational trauma, past experiences, and the subconscious might be playing a part in one's situation. I am strengths-based and person-centered. Social workers consider a client in the context of their environment and the many systems to which they belong. This allows us to be resourceful, looking outside the therapy office into a client’s lived experience. Like so many other social workers, I bring this unique training and perspective to my therapy practice. My focus As a mom of two littles, I’ve been there too. I approach parenthood with humor and a lot of grace, directed inward. It is my honor to sit with clients in the tough moments, from pregnancy and labor preparation, to processing the birth experience, to the tiring rollercoaster that is the postpartum period and beyond. I want to uplift and validate the many beautiful ways families are created. I offer positive, respectful, gentle parenting insights that are evidence-based and attachment-supportive for fellow parents. I am a member of Postpartum Support International, and it is my calling to lift fellow parents during this absolutely transformative time. Always queer-friendly, I am a safe space for LGBTQIA+ individuals, no matter where you are in your journey with identity.
