Hi there, I'm Amy! I believe one of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story. It’s not only okay to invest in yourself, it is necessary. I have worked with many individuals who are experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, mood instability, and psychosis. My approach In sessions, I can remain calm while listening to difficult life experiences. I want to help you find meaning and purpose in all areas of life. I want you to feel safe, accepted, respected, and comfortable after sessions. My focus I want you to leave feeling like you are more equipped than before to navigate your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. My communication style Conversations are person-centered and solution-focused. I focus on a client's strengths as the agent for change. My journey to mental healthcare I have always been interested in helping others. I became a provider as I am passionate about empowering others and guiding others on a journey to become the person they were meant to be. My goals for you I work collaboratively to set goals that are important to the client. We will have a mutual discussion about what is impacting your life the most and work together on setting goals and objectives to reach those goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound. My first session with you During our first session, I will take the time to understand you as a person and your specific concerns. The first session is about me getting to know you and allowing you to choose what therapy means to you and how we can work together to achieve your goals.
