Hi there, I'm Amy! Hi, my name is Amy Roberts, and I am a licensed clinical social worker with a Master's in Social Work from East Tennessee State University. I believe in taking a person-first approach to therapy and treatment, developing a treatment model based on the unique, individual needs of each patient. I am experienced with treating adults ages 18+, but I also have some experience with teens, ages 13 to 17. I am able to treat a range of mental health issues but am especially experienced in treating anxiety, self-esteem/interpersonal issues, neurodivergent disorders, personality disorders, life coaching/empowerment, substance use, couples counseling, and trauma/abuse. My approach I offer CBT, DBT (focused on mindfulness), psychoanalytic (talk therapy), exposure therapy, and will be able to offer EMDR services in the near future. I practice with a humanistic approach and focus on the individual as a whole. I work with my patients to discover their strengths and weaknesses and their ability to develop healthy living skills to reach their ultimate potential. My focus I am experienced working with adults and teens. I work well with individuals from all different types of backgrounds and identities. I provide individual and couples counseling but can provide group therapy when needed. I am able to treat a range of mental health issues such as anxiety disorder, depression, neurodivergent disorders, women's issues, self-esteem/interpersonal issues, relationship/marital issues, trauma/abuse, gender identity, adjustment disorder, and behavioral issues. My communication style I am a very laid-back person and strive to help patients feel comfortable and relaxed during their sessions. I believe in treating all people with respect and dignity and meeting each person where they are at.
