Anchanese Levison, LPC

Psychotherapist
GA
Hi there, I'm Anchanese! My name is Anchanese (Niecy) Levison, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Atlanta, Georgia, working with clients statewide via telehealth. I earned my Master's in Counseling Psychology from Mississippi College. I work with high-functioning adolescents/teens and adults, specializing in anxiety, depression, and stress. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to assist my clients in improving their quality of life. My approach My approach varies based on each client's needs. I mostly use Client-Centered Therapy and DBT, as both allow us to build trust and navigate a path to a better place for the client. My focus My style works well for adolescents/teens and adults struggling with life challenges and changes from stressors like anxiety, depression, and grief. I help clients navigate these journeys and learn skills to feel better and have a more positive outlook. My communication style My communication style is calm, caring, and personable. I want clients to feel heard and have a safe place to speak freely. I pride myself on being understanding and listening without judgment. My journey to mental healthcare My motto is: ?I want to help people improve their quality of life, whether directly or indirectly.? I lost my father in 3rd grade-a very troubling time for me and my family. I experienced many emotions I couldn't understand or express. My mom placed me in therapy as a child, and I later sought therapy in college. Both helped me process and manage this trauma. I have a passion for helping people because I believe everyone may face difficult situations in life.
