Getting to know Andrea Bussinger

Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with 9 years of clinical experience. I understand that life can be challenging, and sometimes we need some support to get us through. I use a combination of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR Therapy, and other approaches, within a person-centered, affirming framework. I provide a safe space for clients to process their experiences, and find ways to move toward the things that matter to them. Since 2021, I've developed a specialty in adult ADHD. As a neurodivergent therapist, I understand the complexity of being "differently-wired". I have extensive experience helping clients with ADHD, including the late-diagnosed, to those who have known for awhile, but find themselves needing some extra support. I understand that ADHD can show up differently at different times in our lives, such as a life transition, job change, moving, or going back to school. I am passionate about helping neurodivergent clients develop more self-compassion, and find the skills and tools that best fit their lifestyle. *Please note that at this time, I am not able to provide testing for ADHD.

What should a new client know about working with you?

At our first session, I'll get to know you - your concerns, symptoms, and other information - and discuss your goals. Going forward, I'll work with you to hone evidence-based tools that you'll use in the way that works best for your brain. You'll have homework assignments, usually involving an immediate problem, but sometimes for longer-range goals. If we're working on past trauma, I'll listen and provide a safe space for you to process, while using interventions that help the brain to release old patterns. My goal is to help you bring your best self forward, whatever that looks like for you.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
