Getting to know Andrea DeRochi

Have you struggled to move forward in your life, relationships, or career? Are your children challenged in school or leaving home? My career has been focused on helping people of all ages improve their mental and physical well-being. I’ve spent more than 25 years in mental health care, both at UCSF’s Department of Psychiatry, the San Francisco VA, and in private practice. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Smith College and am well-versed in evidence-based treatment and working with people to feel better. I believe strongly that people are resilient and, with the right kind of treatment, can move from getting by to thriving. I am especially dedicated to the families and siblings of those with developmental delays and mental health concerns. Raising children into adulthood is the most challenging job many of us have. When our children, young or old, are struggling, we struggle as individuals and families. I am well-versed in working with school districts, regional centers, residential programs, and physicians to get the services your family needs to launch your child or young adult successfully. As a parent of a special needs adult, I’m personally well acquainted with the challenges and gifts of having a neurodiverse child.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
