Getting to know Andrew Gordon

I truly saw the need for more mental health professionals in my community when I lost my father in 2006. Since that day, I began my journey of understanding the mind and how it works. We go through many major life transitions such as breakups, divorce, having children, new professions, loss of income, moving, pandemic stress, and more. Most do not realize just how traumatic these seemingly ?normal? events can be at times. I am here to help you if you feel overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, angry, or confused about anything that has been thrown at you in your life. If you feel that what you are dealing with is too much to handle on your own, please reach out to me. We cannot stop this cycle of numbing or ignoring mental health issues in our world if we do not start within. As a mental health advocate, I have seen the impact of a lack of relatable and accessible mental health programs and providers. I am here to be the bridge and get you the solutions, support, and guidance you need. I hold a Master's in School Counseling and a Master of Business Administration, both from Capella University, which equip me to understand both the emotional and practical aspects of your challenges.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

As an advocate for mental health I greatly value the expertise and approach that some mental health professionals lean on to offer support. From beginning to end my experience was as expected. It started on time, we dove right into the issues as opposed to a typical family history and I left the appointment feeling heard and affirmed. It was a positive, reflective and safe environment where I could share freely and was offered perspective in return. I was also given additional resources for self and to share that felt relevant and essential. I am grateful for the appointment.

I signed up for a session. Only to get on the call and was dismissed due to not offering the service that I signed up for anymore. Was told “ you can drop.” Without even trying to recommend other professionals that could possibly help.

Mr. Gordon began seeing my son for counseling in 2019. After a few visits, I began to see positive changes in myself and my son. I no longer experience the previous negative behaviors and now my son is doing well socially, academically, and physically. I am so pleased with the services Mr. Gordon has provided.
