Getting to know Andrew Maihos

I specialize in working with adults with ADHD but have worked with a wide variety of clients over the past 10 years. I use behavioral therapy and mindfulness as well as targeted assessments to identify and treat/manage the range of symptoms and experiences adults with ADHD often struggle with.

What should a new client know about working with you?

It is my goal to be a supportive collaborator/teacher/coach as you move through your therapy journey. I will support you in building deeper insight into your strengths/weaknesses and behavioral/cognitive tendencies while also offering concrete systems for making life changing adjustments. My ultimate goal in our work together is teaching you how to create a system for managing your life as effectively and independently as possible.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

First step is a clinical intake interview typically followed by the client completing the BRIEF 2A which is a survey that screens for executive functioning deficits commonly found in ADHD. We will work to identify and improve executive functioning while simultaneously implementing cognitive behavioral and mindfulness based interventions.

Most relevant

Had an appointment and he never emailed me instructions of how to sign in online. When I called to express my concerns ( the number I was told to call if any issues) I left him a voicemail and called another time with no return call! I don’t even know if my insurance was charged or not.
