What should a new client know about working with you?

I tend to show up as down-to-earth, direct, and at times lighthearted when it helps. I want you to feel comfortable being fully yourself, while also being challenged in a way that supports growth. I don’t believe healing happens in isolation—it takes honesty, consistency, and a real connection. A big part of my work is helping clients identify and challenge limiting beliefs—especially the roles they’ve unconsciously taken on in relationships. Many people find themselves stuck in patterns like people-pleasing, over-responsibility, or self-sacrifice without realizing it. Together, we work to build a stronger, more grounded sense of self. I also help clients explore a more authentic expression of themselves in their relationships, including how they relate to their sense of masculinity or femininity—finding what genuinely fits for them, rather than what they’ve been conditioned to believe. I’ve worked with many clients navigating addiction, from substance use to process-based patterns like food or pornography. My approach is nonjudgmental and focused on helping you understand the underlying patterns while building healthier, more sustainable ways of coping and living. I also integrate mind-body practices where appropriate, including movement-based work inspired by Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, which can help clients reconnect with confidence, discipline, and a sense of agency in their lives. My goal is to help you feel more clear, more grounded, and more aligned with who you actually are—so you can build a life that feels meaningful.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A typical session with me is collaborative, grounded, and tailored to what you need in the moment. Some days we’ll focus on processing what’s coming up in your life—relationships, stress, or past experiences—and other days we’ll take a more structured approach using tools from CBT, mindfulness, and meditation to help you shift patterns and build clarity. I tend to show up with empathy, humor, and directness. I’m not overly clinical or distant—I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable being real, while also being challenged in a supportive way when it matters. My goal is to help you gain insight, but also to actually apply it in your life. I’ve done deep personal work myself and have been sober for 14 years, so I understand that real, lasting change doesn’t happen in isolation. It takes connection, consistency, and the willingness to look at things honestly. I strive to offer a grounded, supportive environment where you can process, grow, and reconnect with yourself. I also incorporate a range of modalities depending on what feels most useful in the moment, including CBT, mindfulness-based practices, and a structured art therapy approach I developed called STRAS™ (Symbolic Therapy for Reconsolidation and Associative Synaptic Integration), which blends elements of EMDR and expressive art to help process emotions and rework internal patterns in a more experiential way.
