“I do not believe it was anything on your end that was any kind of problem. I reached out to begin therapy as part of lettering myself in my overall health physical and mental. The problem with that was there was not any issues to work on. And conversations for several weeks were more or less me giving a synopsis of how my days had been going between visits. There were no problems to work on to improve, so many of my meetings were more or less \"just spending my wheels\". I was not gaining anything from therapy, because I was not working on anything. And that is nothing wrong on your end, it is just that therapy was not what I needed at the time.”

Hello! I am Angie, a clinical social worker from Southeast Ohio with nearly 20 years of professional experience in mental health. Since 2004, I have dedicated my career to helping individuals navigate their mental health journeys. In 2009, I transitioned to a large healthcare facility where I served the veteran population in various settings, including Suicide Prevention, inpatient psychiatric care, and a community-based mental health clinic. My eight years there were incredibly enriching and provided me with a broad spectrum of experience. Five years ago, I began working with adolescents in the local school system, which has been a fulfilling addition to my practice. Working with this age group has brought a new level of satisfaction to my work, and providing counseling in this setting has allowed me greater flexibility to balance my professional and personal life. I have extensive experience in helping clients manage stress and anxiety, parenting issues, motivation, self-esteem/self-image, thought disorders, mood disorders, and depression. I also specialize in supporting children aged 5-18 with issues such as depression, stress and anxiety, boundary issues, motivation, self-esteem and confidence, and family dynamics. My counseling style is laid back and client-directed. I strive to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.
