“I really enjoy working with Angela and she has helped Marc and I learn to navigate difficulties in our relationship in a healthier way. I’ve gained more self awareness to how I prefer to solve issues and in general just navigate life. Marc and I have learned a lot about how our own traumas show up in our relationship and how we can support each other when they show up and not trigger one another.”

“Angela was very insightful and had good feedback but I felt as if she did not give me much direction. I should have spoke up and asked about dealing with past issues but at rhe same time, I felt that our sessions were just dealing with the stuff on the surface which does not help me get to the root of my issues.”

Getting to know Angela Kuzara

I am a person-centered therapist utilizing a personalized, collaborative, and strengths-based approach. I view each person holistically and as a unique individual, tailoring our sessions to your needs and specific goals in therapy rather than following one rigid therapeutic protocol. I hold a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Iona University and am highly trained in trauma-informed, evidence-based treatment modalities. My first priority is for you to feel safe and trusting of me as your therapist. I offer a non-judgmental, honest, compassionate, accepting, and understanding space that respects your personal values, goals, identity, culture, and experiences. Reaching out for help can be hard, especially when you don't know what to expect or were unsatisfied with therapy in the past. I offer a collaborative relationship and encourage feedback on my style and therapeutic techniques so you can get the most out of our time together. It's important for you to know that I am on your team-I'm here to help you help yourself-empowering you to take ownership over your life, relationships, and well-being. The practical skills, tools, and resources I provide can be used for a lifetime of continued growth and wellness beyond the therapy ?room.?

What should a new client know about working with you?

In our first session, my intention is to get to know you, focusing on creating what brought you to therapy, what you hope to get out of therapy, what has and has not been helpful in the past and any anxieties, discomfort or fears about the therapy process. We will discuss what you expect from therapy as well as the level of structure, accountability and guideance you prefer and if you have any pressing symptoms or immediate concerns. Over time we will work together to prioritize your goals and work on action steps to get you to where you want to be.

In-network insurances

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
