Getting to know Angie Hamilton

Welcome! My name is Angie Hamilton, and I’m a Licensed Psychotherapist with a MEd in Mental Health Counseling from the University of West Georgia. I specialize in anxiety, PTSD, trauma, relationship issues, and addictions. I use traditional psychoanalytic techniques to get to the bottom of the issues and uncover the root causes. They say it will feel worse before it gets better, but I promise you it is well worth it. I'm honest and will give you a clear view of what I see is going on! Please only book appointments on the full hour.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I will help you identify the root cause of your issues to relieve you of all symptoms rather than trying to manage the symptoms.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

I enjoyed her insight . Very easy to talk to and communicate is effective.
Angie is great! I have been through 4 therapists this year and she is the best.
She is very good at getting you to realize things about yourself, very informative, and nurturing. Our relationship has made strides with her counseling.
Be aware that her fees change, meaning increase each invoice! Be prepared to pay a lot per hour. Her average rate in the profile is extremely low compared to what she really cost. Try doubling that. Insurance covers a small portion. I believe when therapist see people have insurance they charge much higher without consideration that the insurance company is not going to cover that full amount. Also, I will say that Angie seemed pretty spacey. ? I found myself having to repeat myself, and there were various times that she lost her train of thought. ?I had to ”lead” the conversations, otherwise there was lots of moments of silence with her, staring at me.
