Getting to know Anielkha Or Mercedes
As a wounded healer, it is an honor to be granted the opportunity to get to know you and walk with you through the journey of healing. Congratulations on taking the hardest step in recovery: reaching out to get the support and guidance you need. I was born in Nicaragua and migrated to the United States at age 10, raised by my grandmother and a single mother. Since I was 13, I knew I wanted to be a mental health provider-whether as a therapist, social worker, or behavioral health specialist. Many odds were against me, and having my own wounds encouraged me to seek the help I needed, start my own healing journey, and ensure a better future. Being a client of several mental health providers over ten years made me realize the type of provider I want to be. I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's in Social Work from California State University, Northridge. I am passionate about mental health, and it is my intention to remind you that you are whole and worthy.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
