Anisha Holden, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hey there! My name is Anisha Holden, and I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. I enjoy working with children, teens, adults, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds and cultures. My approach When working with clients, I prefer to create a collaborative relationship that allows clients to remain the experts of their own experiences while I provide assistance in resolving the difficulties or issues presented as we navigate the path together. I use an integrative style that incorporates multiple theories and models, tailored to benefit each unique client. My focus Often, clients who are transitioning to a new stage in life are drawn to working with me. Whether it’s becoming a spouse or parent, moving into a new position, graduating, or simply changing from one state of being to another, my aim is to provide the necessary support to do so successfully. With any change comes anxiety, depression, indecision, and more. My job is to help you clear the path. My communication style In line with creating a collaborative environment, I typically maintain an informative yet conversational tone with clients. There are times when a more directive, gently “authoritative” voice or stance is required within our work, and I use that approach if it complements their needs. My journey to therapy I became attracted to psychology and counseling during my senior year of high school after participating in an AP Psychology class. Initially, I saw it as a supplemental major since my intention in college was to become a Speech Pathologist/Audiologist. However, after graduating with my B.A. in Psychology, my focus shifted. I always had a clear drive to help people, and once I realized I could do that as a therapist, I decided to enroll in graduate school. I earned my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Capella University. There is no greater pleasure than helping someone navigate themselves.
