Ann Beal, LPC

Psychotherapist
TX
Ann Beal, LPC, interned with renowned psychiatrist, Dr. Frank Minirth, becoming a frequent guest on his radio & television shows, and eventually started her own counseling practice and television program, "Living Well with Ann Beal". Ann trained with some of the best counselors & life coaches in the field giving her a quicker approach to recovery. She specializes in empowerment, communication, conflict resolution, stress & anger management. Ann grew up in a blended family and is a marriage and blended family specialist. She knows the main pitfalls all blended families fall into that create conflict & will help you avoid these pitfalls so you are able to make your marriage & family close and strong. Ann brings vast experience in athletics, business, teaching, counseling, public speaking, radio, and television to her coaching and counseling practice. After graduating from college, she cultivated a career in engineering and consulting before becoming a counselor and life coach. My approach I use a combination of therapeutic approaches to better fit a client's needs. My main approaches chosen are CBT, Interpersonal, and Family Systems. For example, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you identify negative thought patterns and understand how they affect your emotions and behaviors, exploring ways to change or replace those negative thoughts and patterns with ones that are more constructive. You might be given exercises or homework to complete to help you put your new skills into practice. But if I am working with a couple, or a family or a group, I combine CBT & Family Systems. This allows me to see what is breaking down, not in just one person, but in the system as a whole, where issues affecting one member impact the entire system, and therapy focuses on understanding and improving the dynamics between family (group) members rather than solely addressing an individual's problems.
