Ann Glaser, LCSW

Psychotherapist
NC
You deserve to live life centered, safe, and well. You don't have to be a master meditator, have all the answers, or always be in control to achieve this. My goal is to provide you with a safe space to explore your feelings, identify your strengths, become comfortable with yourself, and find peace. I am a licensed clinical social worker with a Master's in Social Work from the State University of New York, Buffalo, and more than 20 years of professional and lived experience with vicarious trauma/secondary traumatic stress, career turmoil, anxiety, depression, separation, loss and grief, and role changes through life stages. I know what it is to love and live with someone who is dealing with mental health and/or addiction concerns. You are not alone, and there is nothing wrong with you. You are a perfectly imperfect human being just trying to make it. We will partner to get you where you want to be. Let me help you be your best self.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Our first session will be spent getting to know each other and will include me gathering a lot of background information, conducting an assessment of the problem area and identifying your therapy goals. During the following sessions, I will take a lot of time to listen, practicing curiosity and promote self-awareness, insight and understanding. As we continue, I will begin to facilitate resolving past traumas, exploring alternate narratives, and practice new ways of coping. I will coach you in developing healthy boundaries, assertiveness, and effective self-care. We will collaborate to problem-solve and strategize how to approach the dilemmas you are facing.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
