Getting to know Ann Hodgdon

Hello! My name is Ann Hodgdon, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master's in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach. I view all clients as individuals and work with you to identify your areas of focus and personal goals. I generally utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. My approach My approach is supportive while using CBT and ACT, as I have found these treatment models to be most helpful in achieving success. If you're struggling to understand who you are and how you can best manage your relationships, life shifts, responsibilities, and goals in this often hectic and conflicted world, I am here to help. My role is to help you sort out confusion by learning about you as an individual, looking at patterns of behavior that aren't working, and discovering new methods that support your journey to a healthier and happier self. My focus I love working with adults from all backgrounds. My experience in a variety of mental health settings has given me a unique perspective. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 25 years and have worked extensively with individuals facing depression, anxiety, trauma, chronic mental illness, and addiction. While it is my pleasure to work with individuals of all faiths or none at all, I am a practicing Catholic and am happy to support Catholics who are struggling to align their life experiences with their faith. My communication style I am calm and nonjudgmental. My goal is to make your experience comfortable through clear, open, and honest communication. My journey to therapy I was drawn to social work in college because it looks at the whole person within their family systems and allows for a variety of approaches to address the issues individuals grapple with today. I have always enjoyed getting to know people and listening to different perspectives on life.
