Do you ever feel like you’re trying to find your way back to a version of yourself you barely got to know? If you're a neurodivergent woman who grew up with emotionally distant or unpredictable parents, you’re not alone — and you’re not broken. The way we’re raised shapes how we see ourselves, how safe we feel in relationships, and whether we believe we deserve to feel at ease in our own skin. For many of the women I work with — women navigating life with ADHD, autism, or bipolar disorder — there’s a common thread: a deep sense of disconnection. From their emotions, from other people, sometimes even from their own identity. They’re often dealing with chronic anxiety, low self-worth, and an exhausting inner critic that never seems to shut up. But here’s the thing: none of that is who you really are. It’s just what’s grown around you as a way to cope. Therapy is a space where we gently peel that back. Together, we work on reconnecting with the person you were always meant to be — authentic, grounded, and fully yourself.

Getting to know Anna Khandrueva

What should a new client know about working with you?

You don’t have to carry the weight of your past alone. Maybe your childhood didn’t give you what you needed — safety, consistency, a sense that you mattered. That kind of history doesn’t just fade. It lives in the body, in your relationships, in the way you talk to yourself. But it can be healed. In our work together, we’ll move at your pace. I draw from somatic EMDR, parts work (IFS), and attachment-based therapy — but honestly, what matters most is the space we build between us. A space where you feel genuinely seen. Where nothing about you is “too much.” Where every part of you, even the ones you’ve kept hidden, is welcome. Healing doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be real — and rooted in connection.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

What does a session with me look like? Honestly — it depends on you. Some days, it might be structured EMDR work, where we follow a specific process to gently reprocess old pain. Other days, it might look more like open-ended talk therapy — a space to untangle thoughts, explore emotions, or just breathe for a moment. No matter the format, the vibe stays the same: safe, non-judgmental, and rooted in deep respect for whatever you bring into the room. I work collaboratively, which means you set the pace. If you know where you want to go, I’ll follow your lead. But if you’re feeling stuck, lost, or unsure, I’m right there with you — offering gentle insights and guidance to help make sense of things. You never have to figure it out alone. This is your space. Your story. I’m just here to help you tell it, heal it, and live it with more ease.
