“Life can only be understood backwards…but it must be lived forward.” –Kierkegaard. Life often feels like we are driving without a map, unsure how to reach our destinations or what roadblocks lie ahead? At times, our thoughts and emotions can feel tangled—leaving us overwhelmed, stuck, or simply searching for deeper understanding. For over 20 years, I help people, especially Veterans, navigate life’s challenges using evidence-based integrative client-focus interventions. My approach is collaborative, practical, and deeply respectful of each person’s story. Together, we’ll uncover unhelpful patterns, build skills that work in real life, and move toward what matters most to you—all in a space where you’ll feel heard, supported, and understood. My approach In my practice, I offer an evidence-based integrative approach, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These methods help you build insight, develop effective coping strategies, and reconnect with what truly matters to you. We start by building a strong foundation based on trust, safety, and genuine human connection. I want a space for you to speak freely, to share your thoughts and feelings without judgment or pressure. Getting to know each other isn’t just a formality—it’s the heart of the work. With trust and collaboration, we could start to piece together the story of your life: past experiences, present struggles, and the patterns that quietly shape how you think, feel, and act. It’s how we make sense of what’s going on beneath the surface and sketch out a roadmap for healing that’s uniquely yours. “The world breaks everyone, and afterward, some are strong at the broken places.” --Ernest Hemingway, A Farewell to Arms. After two decades of supporting Veterans, I’ve come to recognize pain, suffering, and regret as inevitable companions on life’s journey.
