Annie Adams-Roselle, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
For child clients, I strongly prefer to meet in person whenever possible. Your child may not be appropriate for telehealth due to their age, development, or other factors. My in-person days are Friday and Saturday. I will need to cancel any virtual intake appointments scheduled for children under age 10 unless you have reached out to me ahead of time to discuss the specific circumstances. I work with children, teens, and adults struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, loss, identity, and trauma. As a therapist with a relational, person-centered approach, I emphasize teaching individuals through their experience in therapy skills such as setting healthy boundaries, learning to communicate their wants and needs, and cultivating a healthy interdependence with others in their life. I use warmth and humor to help you feel understood as an individual. My approach blends attunement and caring with creating practical solutions to help you deal with your problems. In my work with children, I make sure that parents are involved in treatment so that you have the skills to validate your child's emotions, manage behavioral challenges, and create a closer bond with your child. Play therapy is proven effective with a wide range of behavioral and emotional concerns in children, but I also want to support you as a parent in helping your child outside of the one hour per week your child is in therapy. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Texas, Austin, which informs my evidence-based and compassionate approach to therapy.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have been described by previous clients as patient, understanding, and kind. I also emphasize social justice in my work, as this is a fundamental value in my own life. I encourage my clients to discuss the effects that oppression has on their lived experiences, and we work together to find new ways to cope. I hope that when we meet, you feel safe, supported, and empowered to make lasting changes. When you are struggling with lots of emotional ups and downs or difficulties just dealing with all that life has thrown your way, it can be helpful to learn skills for managing your emotions and challenging thoughts that are keeping you stuck in the past or worries about the present.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
