Getting to know Annie Hamamchian

With 16+ years of clinical experience and a Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California, I specialize in evidence-based treatments for a wide range of conditions such as depression, anxiety, historical and recent trauma, difficult life transitions, grief and loss, relationship issues, interpersonal partner abuse, perinatal mental health, adverse childhood experiences, and family conflict. I have found that much of my passion rests in helping adults discover and honor their truth-integrating their authentic self in various areas of their life. Whether it be life transitions, challenging relationship issues, trauma, acclimating to a new community, or seeking help to strengthen who you are as an individual, it can be difficult to navigate. I am here to help you sort out the barriers and identify what may be holding you back from being the person you want to be and living the life you want to live. I strive to create a safe space by establishing mutual respect, being present, and honoring your individuality. I offer a warm, collaborative approach to guide you through strength-based interventions tailored to your needs. Together, we will identify hindering behavioral patterns, navigate ways to reframe unhelpful thoughts, and discard limiting core beliefs that don't serve you. Through reflection, increased insight, a developed sense of empowerment, and the application of effective coping strategies, we can work together to create achievable outcomes. Together, we may aim to integrate wounded parts of self into the therapeutic process, end personal suffering, and seek wholeness.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients can expect to feel heard and seen. They can expect to get a sense that they are being supported and accepted for who they are. They can expect to feel calm and empowered. They can expect to feel challenged to apply themselves by doing the therapeutic work that can lead to change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
