Hi, my name is Anoushey Khan, and I’m a Licensed Psychotherapist in California with over 10 years of experience providing mental health support to children, teens, and families. I hold a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Fullerton. I love working with teens, young adults, parents, and families struggling with anxiety, self-esteem, life transitions, stress, and relationship issues.
I have past experience working with a school district, in a group practice, with outpatient programs, as well as at a domestic violence crisis shelter. I believe that working in these diverse settings has helped me grow both as a therapist and as a human being, which deeply informs my counseling approach. I not only adapt my professional expertise to fit each client’s unique needs and situation but also bring my own life experiences as a mom, partner, friend, and fellow human who has grappled with similar challenges.
I live in San Diego with my husband and two sons. I love the ocean, traveling, trying foods from all over the world, and connecting with people from all walks of life.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I help people find purpose and meaning in their family, friendships, work and all other areas of life while also learning tools and strategies to overcome obstacles and challenges that interfere with their relationships and their vision for their life. I work with children and adolescents to help build social skills and emotional intelligence during their formative years while also addressing any behavioral or mental health challenges that might be disrupting their lives. Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
