Anqi Guo, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi, thanks for dropping in! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Orange County, California, and working with clients statewide via telehealth. You might have many different motivations for seeking therapy, and I aim to provide a safe and nonjudgmental space to focus on what’s important to you. I specialize in working with individuals navigating life transitions, identity issues, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I take a client-centered, strength-based, and integrative approach to therapy that allows us to explore what works best for you. It is also my honor and pleasure to have the chance to know you and start this therapy journey with you. I will always welcome you to reach out whenever you feel ready to begin. My approach I work from a trauma-informed, humanistic-existential orientation with an integration of other approaches(i.e., mindfulness, CBT, ACT, family system). With respect to your autonomy, I may also form my interpretation/analysis through a trauma lens as I believe trauma (i.e,. systemic, familial, social/relational, complex) is one of the main sources for individuals’ pain and suffering. I believe therapy is not only about addressing present issues and alleviating pain, but also about facilitating personal growth and exploration of meaning in life. My training and clinical experiences have taught me that you’re always the expert of yourself, and no one-size-fits-all. I’d be happy to explore styles and approaches that work for you, and co-create a genuine and dynamic therapeutic relationship with you as we experience this unique process together. My focus I have found my style resonates well with adults who are experiencing depression, anxiety, complex trauma, identity issues, and life transitions. I collaborate with my clients to explore emotional experiences, create space for self-compassion, and navigate transitional periods.
