Getting to know Anthony Rosado
I am committed to helping people cope with challenges and improve wellness. I earned a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from National Louis University and a Bachelor's degree in psychology from Northwestern University. I have worked in the mental health field since 2015 in both community mental health and private practice settings. I practice at Arcus Behavioral Health and Wellness in Chicago, IL.
Beginning therapy takes a lot of mental and emotional energy, so the motivation to seek out treatment is admirable. I understand that mental wellbeing is crucial to an individual's overall health. Hence, I hope to work with you to address various life and mental health concerns. I strive to provide a supportive space for people to explore their challenges and work towards the path to a brighter tomorrow.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I have experience working with individuals (children, adolescents and adults), couples and families processing a myriad of concerns. Being black, Puerto Rican and a part of the LGBTQ community, I recognize the importance culture and background plays in life and in a therapeutic setting. I use client-centered, trauma-informed and evidence-based approaches to help clients move towards greater wellbeing and understanding of oneself and the world around them.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I believe that we can collaborate together to explore where you are in life and find positive change, hopefulness and peace. While my approach can incorporate a number of different evidence-based practices, I try to focus on helping you to find awareness of your emotions, beliefs and strengths, explore your boundaries and feel a greater sense of wellness in life. I hope that whether you are seeking to work through trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, or any other change or struggle at this time, you feel safe, free and seen so that you may achieve your goals.
