In cognitive behavioral therapy, the focus is on changing perceptions and thoughts so that it is easier to solve emotional and relationship problems. Stress Reduction helps to unburden tension and stress. One of the first steps in our relationship is agreeing on a direction for counseling. Working together, we can mobilize your strengths to help you in the process of change towards your goals. I will ask for your input and preferences about the approach we use to help you move forward. My focus Are you at a point where you have a growing concern about the impact of your anxiety, critical self-talk, or depression on your life? Together, we can identify what you can do to get unstuck and move forward. My goal is for you to feel safe and secure in our meetings. Feeling understood and becoming empowered are the first steps to becoming healthier and tackling your problems. We will work as partners to identify what needs to be different in your life and then find ways to make this happen My communication style I use reflective listening to help you feel accepted and not judged. Feeling understood assists you in accepting yourself. In the course of feeling understood, new ways of seeing your problems and coming up with new options can emerge.
