Hi, I am April, and I am glad you found my profile! Are you struggling with depression, anxiety, life transitions, or are past traumas affecting your mental health and wellness? Are you feeling overwhelmed and struggling with life? Or maybe your current support system or coping strategies aren't enough anymore. Your story matters, and I will help you create a safe, nonjudgmental space to process and heal. I will equip you with the tools you need to restore balance to your life and get unstuck. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. It takes courage to take the first steps toward change, and I am here to support and empower you. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Florida State University, which has prepared me to provide thoughtful, evidence-based care tailored to your unique needs.

What should a new client know about working with you?

At our first session we will discuss what brings you to therapy and I will start to learn a little bit of your story. What are your strengths? What is your current support system and what are you doing to coping with your stressors currently? I will work with you to explore where you are struggling and feeling stuck/needing change. Together we will work to formulate goals for therapy and healing and check progress throughout your counseling journey.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
