Getting to know Arayalith Espinoza

Hi there, my name is Ara Espinoza, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California, working with clients via telehealth. I earned my Master's in Social Work from California State University, San Marcos. I work with adults and specialize in anxiety, depression, and life stress, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help clients improve their quality of life. My approach My therapy approach is eclectic and individualized. I frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Adlerian Therapy, Grief Therapy, Psychodynamic, and Family Systems. I collaborate with clients to identify their therapy goals. My focus My style suits those who struggle to prioritize themselves, feel lonely or guilty, are misunderstood by family or friends, have perfectionistic tendencies, engage in people-pleasing, fear being seen as selfish, and want to be liked. These issues often appear in people dealing with depression, anxiety, stress, interpersonal conflicts, and life transitions. My communication style I communicate honestly, directly, and compassionately, with a touch of humor. I encourage clients to be authentic and use their natural language without filtering who they are. My journey to mental healthcare I became a therapist because I was always the friend people turned to for advice, knowing I was open, honest, and non-judgmental. I enjoy meaningful conversations and find joy in helping people improve their lives. My goals for you I take a collaborative approach to goal setting, aiming for clients to get what they want out of therapy.
