Getting to know Arianna Fernandez

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 12 years of experience in the fields of mental health, eating disorders, and substance use disorders. Throughout my career, I have held multiple roles, ranging from primary therapist to lead therapist, program director, and most recently, Chief Clinical and Operations Officer of a local nonprofit treatment center in Delray Beach. I earned a Master's in Mental Health Counseling and a Master's in Psychology from Albizu University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Florida International University. I have been in private practice since 2010. I look forward to working with you!

What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapy style is warm, encouraging but, direct and respectful. I believe in creating a safe place that promotes honesty, vulnerability, and change. I merge the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of clients working toward overall well-being. I have advanced training in the treatment of eating disorders and have completed certification courses for the Certified Eating Disorder Specialist. I am also trained in CBT, ACT, Trauma-Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Family Therapy and Psychodrama.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Clients are scheduled for an initial 60 min assessment and 45-60 min follow-up sessions based on client need.
