Hi, my name is Arielle Penn. I have been working with individuals challenged by an array of mental health and substance abuse issues for nearly 30 years. I received a Master's in Social Work (MSW) from the prestigious University of Southern California (USC) and am a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), specializing in mental health. I have served as a clinical director at some of the most renowned treatment centers in California and have had the honor of supervising new clinicians.
I feel most adroit in treating people facing depression, substance abuse, binge eating, sexual orientation exploration, teens dealing with depression, bullying and peer pressure, personality and relational issues, life transitions such as job or marital changes, grief and loss, adults living with chronic illness, families going through divorce, and young adults transitioning to adulthood.
I am very passionate about helping others and offer nearly 30 years of experience, hoping this will garner your trust in taking this first step with me. Having worked with a wide range of populations, from young to old, I use the best evidence-based practices to achieve the best results, always starting where the client is. I feel honored to be part of the journey in facilitating growth and helping others live their best life despite circumstances. I rely on a strong theoretical knowledge base and evidence-based treatment to pave the way for the most successful, individualized care.
I was fortunate to receive much of my initial training at the world-renowned Bellevue Hospital in New York City, where I worked in a resident teaching unit alongside many forefathers of psychiatry who offered invaluable knowledge and training. I have also worked in dependency and children's court, helping families either reunite or strengthen their marital bonds.
