Getting to know Arthur Streeter
I work with my clients eclectically, always utilizing a Client-Centered approach. I have been actively engaged in psychotherapy since 2006. Active listening is a primary aspect of my therapeutic facilitation. I am treatment-focused in my clients' best interests and have experience working with individuals, couples, families, and early to middle adolescent males and females. I have worked with youth struggling with early psychosis (hearing voices, paranoia, etc.) and adults facing Co-Occurring Disorders, including psychiatric issues such as depression, anxiety, and Bipolar Disorder compounded by illegal substance abuse. My therapeutic approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT, Solution Focused Therapy, and Family Focused Therapy, to name a few. I always include humor as well. I hold a Master's in Counseling from John F. Kennedy University, an EdD from Argosy University, and a Bachelor's degree from The State University of New York.
