Psychotherapist
GA
Hi there, I'm Ashbina! Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. Whether you're feeling stuck, emotionally drained, or trying to make sense of a difficult season, I can help you gain clarity and regain a sense of control. My focus I gained the experience working with men and women experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and life transitions, including those related to immigration and cultural adjustment. I understand the challenges of navigating different cultural expectations and strive to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported. My approach When working with individuals, my primary focus is using a holistic approach. A holistic therapeutic approach considers how your thoughts, emotions, physical health, relationships, culture, and environment all interact and influence your mental health. My communication style In our work together, you can expect a warm, collaborative, supportive environment where we focus on practical tools, self-awareness, and meaningful change. Also, I integrate a compassionate, down-to-earth style so you can feel comfortable being your authentic self during our sessions. My journey to mental healthcare My decision to become a mental health counselor stems from personal experience. After losing my mother to cancer after high school, I experienced depression and grief while navigating a Haitian culture where mental health is rarely discussed. These experiences showed me how deeply emotional pain can affect us. My goals for you I see therapy as a shared journey grounded in trust, understanding, and compassion. Together, we’ll take the time to explore what matters most to you and create goals that honor your unique needs. As you gain insight and learn more about yourself, we’ll adapt our approach so you feel heard, supported, and empowered as you move towards your goals.
