Getting to know Ashlee Taylor
Finding the right therapist can be a daunting and vulnerable task, whether you're new to the process or a seasoned pro. As you're scrolling through endless profiles and bios, you may ask yourself, "Do I belong here?"
I became a therapist to provide people with a safe space, a supportive relationship, and a perspective they may not find in other areas of their lives. I also hope to challenge the stigma that might have discouraged them from engaging in therapy.
I am a non-binary person of color who has worked in the behavioral health field for over 10 years. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals of various ages, genders, ethnicities, and identities in inpatient, outpatient, and school settings. My specialties include LGBTQ+, gender identity, sexuality, ADHD, anxiety, neurodevelopmental and behavioral emotional disorders, and parent management training.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I hope to leave my clients with a sense of direction, and confidence to navigate whatever challenges they bring to the table.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

My therapist is knowledgeable and is able to see things from angles I hadn't considered. This is helpful to me, as I have a tendency to get tunnel vision.
