Getting to know Ashley Broderick

I have found that the most significant aspect of success in any therapeutic experience is the client-therapist relationship and for this reason, it is very important to me that I create a safe, non-judgmental, environment for my clients. I tend to have a more casual and client-centered style and strive to provide a warm and empathetic environment, while also bringing humor and playfulness into my relationship with clients. Each of us has different life experiences and different ways in which we process and heal, which is why I tailor treatment styles to meet each client's individual needs. I believe in providing a safe space, in which clients can grow and always feel comfortable being their authentic selves. My favorite quote describing the therapeutic process and the importance of a strong therapeutic alliance is by Irvin D. Yalom, MD, in which he says, ""The act of revealing oneself fully to another and still being accepted may be the major vehicle of therapeutic help.""
