Psychotherapist
MD
Are you feeling curious about addressing deeply rooted shame and trauma? I support individuals in bringing awareness to how their body, mind, and experiences shape current behaviors in order to find relief from living in a constant state of stress and tension. My hope is that you leave each session feeling understood, safe, and empowered. My approach I provide an integrative approach that includes trauma-informed, attachment-based, psychodynamic, and somatic therapies. I aim to help you develop a sense of safety within your own body and an appreciation of self so that you feel more empowered to handle life's challenges. Developing your therapy goals will be a collaborative experience. My communication style I strive to create a safe, trusting relationship through friendly and approachable communication so that you can expect to feel comfortable, heard, and validated. My journey to mental healthcare My journey began with a curiosity to understand animal behavior, which eventually focused on human behavior. I developed a deep insightfulness into the complicated impact of the human experience, and have long felt motivated to spread and share that knowledge through empathy and connection. My goals for you We will work together in partnership to achieve therapy goals that matter most to you. Even if you do not currently have a clear goal, I will support you in developing insight and understanding into your mind and body so that we may work towards a meaningful transformation. My first session with you Showing up to your first session is the hardest part. Intake sessions with me primarily focus on establishing our relationship, getting to know each other, and providing you with a safe space to express your fears, needs, and wants. I end every first session by asking you if you'd like to meet with me again after today.
