Ashley is a licensed professional counselor with over 15 years of experience helping children, adolescents, and families experiencing crisis, ADHD, anger management, anxiety disorders, depression, mood disorders, personality disorders, trauma, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. She utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing to assist clients in understanding their behaviors, thoughts, and emotions while teaching new skills so clients can be empowered to make changes in their lives. Ashley earned both her Bachelor's degree and her Master's in Counseling Psychology from Alabama A&M University, where she also competed in two Division I sports. She comes from a background in acute inpatient behavioral health and day treatment and has extensive experience collaborating with schools and county mental health programs.
