Ashley Mann, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Ashley! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, practicing since 2011, with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from California Baptist University. I value a genuine relational approach to therapy, which is collaborative. Therapy and growth happen through positive relationships and removing barriers that hinder development. My approach In sessions, I use a humanistic, emotionally focused, and gestalt framework. Talking about challenges is one thing, but moving toward the root beliefs and their emotional underpinnings can be very beneficial for change and healing in response to life’s challenges. My focus I enjoy working with a variety of ages! You never know who will be a good “fit” in the client-therapist dynamic. Typically, I work with those seeking to decrease depressive and anxious symptoms and increase positive interactions with loved ones. I also work with those who feel “stuck” or are grieving complicated losses. My focus has included working with children, so supporting those who want to strengthen parenting skills is a frequent love and focus for me. My communication style I tend to sound down-to-earth, even keel, and a bit playful when appropriate. My journey to mental healthcare In various jobs, I noticed how much listening makes a difference! It amazes me how often we don’t truly listen to each other. I love people and am amazed at their resilience. We have many answers to our challenges within us, and hearing our thoughts aloud, with a captive audience, can be healing. Therapy can propel us toward peace, savoring life’s goodness, and being “good enough.”
