“I have moved around, almost every year, to new cities and have had many therapists since then. Ashley is far and away one of the best therapists I've ever worked with. Working with Ashley made me feel seen and heard. She was very easy to connect with and I greatly valued her holistic approach in connecting the past experiences I've had to my daily lived experience now. She was always very easy to talk to and I greatly miss working with her, as it's been hard to find another therapist I can feel so understood by while also receiving meaningful help. I can't recommend Ashley enough. If her skill sets and specialty suit you, I don't think you'd be led astray in giving therapy with her a chance.”

Getting to know Ashley Mullin

If you've felt the chaos for the last time — if you're done performing "fine" while your relationship or family is falling apart underneath — you're in the right place. I'm a couples therapist, family therapist, and sex therapist in Murrieta/Temecula, and I specialize in intimacy that's disappeared, family dynamics that don't fit a neat mold, and the unique challenges that come with neurodivergent relationships. I'm one of the very few clinical sex therapy specialists in Murrieta/Temecula/Menifee who offer in-person sessions — not just telehealth. My ideal clients are couples who love each other but can't figure out why it still feels so hard. Partners who are struggling with intimacy and don't know how to talk about it. Families that are blended, complicated, or running on resentment and survival mode. Neurodivergent individuals and couples who are exhausted from being misunderstood by every provider they've tried. You don't need to explain yourself before we even start. I work with intimacy issues, desire disconnection, trust fractures, emotional shutdown, complex family dynamics, anxiety, depression, and trauma — including the ways trauma shows up in your body, your bedroom, and your closest relationships. I'm neurodivergent-affirming, direct, and not interested in surface-level work. You don't have to filter yourself here. I'm not easily shocked, and I will not judge you. I know it took something to even start searching. Maybe it was a fight that went too far, a silence that's lasted too long, or the realization that you can't keep doing this alone. Whatever brought you here — you don't have to have it figured out before you reach out. Just show up as you are. That's enough to start. **Please note that I am Cash Pay only. Payment will need to be made prior to session**

What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapy isn’t about having all the answers right away, and you definitely don’t need to have it all figured out before we start. Whether you know exactly what you need help with or are still working through things, I’m here to support you in the process. **Please note that I am cash pay only. I’ll meet you where you are, and that includes being mindful of your financial situation. We’ll figure out a plan that works for you, so you can focus on what really matters—getting the help you need. When we work together, I aim to create a space that feels comfortable and safe—whether we’re meeting in the office or virtually. And if you're in the office, you’ll likely meet my therapy dog, Molly, who’s here to help make the space feel a little more relaxed.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

**Please note that after booking with zocdoc your intake forms will come via outside email. These need to be completed as soon as possible and payment for your first visit will be charged at the time of booking.** When we first meet, we’ll just talk. I want to hear what brought you to therapy and get a sense of where you're at. We’ll talk about your goals—what do you want to work on, and what do you hope to get out of this? No pressure, just honest conversation. From there, we’ll set a plan, but I keep things flexible. If something isn’t working, we’ll change it up. Therapy is all about you, so if we need to adjust things as we go, that’s totally fine. I’ll also share practical tools and strategies that you can use in your day-to-day life. Things like coping skills, ways to challenge negative thoughts, or just tools to help you manage stress better. The bottom line? I’m here to help you feel more in control of your life and better equipped to handle whatever comes your way. We’ll figure this out together.
