Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Ashley! I’m a therapist who works with adults navigating anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, life transitions, and the pressure of feeling like you always have to keep it together. My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative, blending practical tools with Brainspotting, art therapy, mindfulness, and somatic work. My focus I work best with adults who seem put-together on the outside but are overthinking, second-guessing, or exhausted underneath it all. If you’re self-aware (maybe very self-aware!) but still stuck in anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, burnout, or old patterns, we’ll work on turning insight into real change. My approach I don’t believe therapy should feel overly clinical or like you have to say the “right” thing. I’m warm, curious, and engaged in sessions-I’ll listen closely, ask questions, help you notice patterns, and gently challenge you when it might be helpful. We’ll balance understanding the deeper “why” behind what you’re experiencing with practical tools. My communication style I’m warm, conversational, and direct, with plenty of room for humor when it fits. I won’t just sit back and nod. I’m engaged, curious, and honest. I’ll celebrate your wins, gently call attention to patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and make sure therapy feels like a conversation, not a clinical interview. My journey to mental healthcare I experienced firsthand how meaningful therapy can be, and it inspired me to offer that same kind of support to others. I wanted a career that felt purposeful; one where I could connect with people, help them through hard seasons, and hopefully leave the world a little better than I found it. My goals for you We’ll get clear on what you actually want to feel or do differently, then break bigger goals into realistic steps. I may offer “homework” between sessions; something practical to try, reflect on, or practice in real life. We’ll check in on what’s working, what isn’t, and adjust as we go.
