It feels like you’re living with a roommate instead of a partner. You’re tired of the same circular arguments that leave you both feeling exhausted and misunderstood. It seems like no matter how hard you try to explain your side, it only leads to more blame, defensiveness, or a heavy, painful silence. You want to feel seen again. You want to remember why you chose each other in the first place. I help couples move out of these "stuck" patterns. We won’t just talk about your problems; we will identify the underlying wounds and fears that trigger the conflict. Together, we’ll build a new way of communicating that prioritizes understanding over being "right." Whether you’re navigating the strain of chronic illness, the fallout of addiction, or simply feeling a loss of connection, there is a path back to each other. You don’t have to keep doing this alone.

What should a new client know about working with you?

With over 20 years of experience and advanced training as a licensed clinical social worker and addiction counselor, I bring depth and perspective to my work. My background allows me to support partners navigating relationship stress alongside challenges like anxiety, depression, and substance use. My work blends several approaches to help couples slow down conflict and better understand what's happening beneath the surface. We will explore thoughts and emotions and adaptive patterns of behavior that stem from childhood. The goal is practical: helping couples communicate more clearly, respond with more understanding, and create healthier patterns of behavior together.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Many couples reach out when communication has broken down, trust feels fragile, or stress from life, addiction, anxiety, or depression is affecting the relationship. These challenges can leave partners feeling alone even when they deeply care about each other. My focus is helping couples understand the patterns keeping them stuck so they can reconnect and communicate more openly.
