Audrey Davis, LCSW

Psychotherapist
IL
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Professional Educator, I am passionate about working with individuals in K-12, their families, and young adults to foster culturally sensitive and socially acceptable coping skills, self-management skills, positive cognitions, social awareness, communication skills, interpersonal skills, self-perception, assertiveness, and decision-making abilities. Using psychotherapy, cognitive and behavioral models, and varying approaches, I partner with individuals and their families to develop these skills through single and multi-treatment modes. I am currently accepting new clients. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Aurora University, an EdD in Leadership, Stewardship, and Learning, and a Bachelor's degree from the University of St. Francis. My experience includes six years of clinical school social work, six years of instruction and mentorship as a college professor, and over seven years in private practice. Using a strengths-based approach, I aim to empower clients to find solutions to their challenges and assist them in developing the skills necessary to maintain emotional stability.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Psychotherapy is a partnership between the therapist and his/her clients. As a therapist, I am not a fixer of all one's issues, but rather I partner with my clients to help them identify and clearly articulate their issues, develop or enhance the necessary skills to face their challenges/issues and execute a plan to address such issues in a socially acceptable manner. I therefore aim to instill hope for a meaningful and purposeful life. In essence, my goal is to empower clients where their view of power over their situations seems absent.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
