“Audrey is the best therapist I've had so far. I've had one that was too friendly to the point that it was unprofessional and one that was helpful but harsh. Audrey offers the right balance. She really listens and asks thought-provoking questions. Her demeanor and speech has helped me to feel comfortable opening up. I've learned a lot about the way I think and why and even how to re-program my way of thinking. She'd talk me through breathing exercises and would even email helpful worksheets for me to work on after our sessions. By far, the best therapist.”

Getting to know Audrey O'Neal

Your anxiety interferes with your sleep. You critique everything you have said daily. You feel as though your emotions are overpowering. You believe that some of the experiences in your life have caused you to lose your enthusiasm, making it difficult to believe that you will get better. Sometimes you lie awake at night thinking about what you can do to alleviate your stress, and you find yourself picking up a drink or binging on ice cream. You have noticed the tension in your body and your inability to fully relax. You are pessimistic in your thinking, and you want to climb out of this abyss but can't find the way. As a mental health counselor with a Master's degree from Walden University, I understand the challenges you face and am here to help guide you toward healing and renewed hope.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I use an approach in treating anxiety and depression that is focused on helping you feel better early in the sessions. I will work towards helping you function optimally by using deep relaxation techniques. I work best with high functioning men and women . When you leave the session, I would expect you to feel better. Do you want to be able to cope better with stress, depression, anxiety, as well as feel more relaxed and optimistic? Call or email me today to start feeling more empowered in your life. I hold an MS in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and am a PsyD candidate in Clinical Psychology at California Southern University. Depression can make you feel hopeless. It drains the pleasure from things you used to enjoy, makes you see everything through gray-tinted glasses and eradicates hope and energy. In short, depression is a parasite that feeds off your life. But when you know how depression works; what it needs to sustain it, then you start to gain power over it and hope starts to sprout again. But there is hope, and I think I can help. We will work together to: reduce the amount of worrying and introspection you are doing resolve any practical problems that are causing you stress work on any relationship difficulties you may be having help you balance your thinking so you are not plagued by negative thoughts as you feel better, gradually introduce elements to your life that will protect you from becoming depressed again The very first thing we will do in our session together is to ensure you understand why you are feeling this way. It has a lot to do with the levels of stress you are currently experiencing, which leads to physical as well as mental exhaustion.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe in paying close attention to the strengths of the individual, and I will explore those with you during the session. I have learned that each individual has resources and abilities that appear to be inaccessible, but that can be revealed and used in order to help the individual tackle their problems. My sessions are engaging and varied. I use hypnotherapy to help my clients relax ,and develop new templates by training the unconscious mind to generate more adaptive responses. I engage my clients in exploring primal human needs to identify any unmet needs that could be at the heart of emotional distress. Once we identify them together, we will work on identifying ways to meet those needs so you can enjoy optimal emotional wellness.

The role of Audrey has been instrumental since I have started my therapy with her. She is helping me to have tools to manage personal and work situation and to make them part of my daily rituals. I feel very fortunate and grateful to her and her practice.
Audrey is an amazing therapist. She is warm, open minded and intelligent. I feel really lucky to have found her. Also, if you’re interested in DBT she can really help you along with worksheets and clear explanations. She is also just a very good resource, whilst offering compassion. Highly recommend.

Audrey is so warm and so kind and so phenomenal. After my first session she was able to help me start connecting dots, and my second was even better. You can tell that she genuinely cares about you and wants the very best for you, and wants to give you the steps to help you get there. An excellent listener, explains and breaks things down so well and understandably, helps me really dive into aspects of who I am and my mental health. Very much looking forward to many more sessions with her!

Audrey O'Neal was very helpful in identifying the problems I was facing, which in turn helped me approach them in a clear-minded way.
Audrey was exceptionally easy to talk to. I've only just begun the journey, but already know that this is a good fit and have booked follow up appointments. She went above and beyond to prepare for appointment and is responsive to questions or concerns. The telecommunication is a wonderful option as well. The entire practice goes above and beyond, even in making my appointment happen during a Holiday weekend. I can already see my own progress on the horizon with having a reliable, intelligent, and (down to earth) supportive therapist working WITH me FOR a better me.
