What should a new client know about working with you?

My Approach to Healing I believe that healing starts by honoring who you are—your strengths, your inner resources, and your natural ability to move toward well-being. At the core of my work is the belief that you already carry within you the capacity to heal, grow, and find direction. My role is not to “fix” you, but to walk alongside you with my knowledge and expertise and provide the clinical support as you reconnect with your own wisdom, resilience, and potential. This perspective is deeply rooted in the principles of Dr. Carl Rogers' Person-Centered Therapy, where the focus is on unconditional positive regard and the trust that every individual has a deep, intuitive sense of what they need. I create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can reconnect with that inner wisdom and trust your own path toward healing. Transitioning into a wellness mindset means honoring that inner knowing—recognizing it, listening to it, and moving gently in alignment with it. This includes identifying the small, meaningful steps that support your healing and staying attuned to the timing that feels right for you. Inner shifts take time, and they ask for patience, compassion, and a sense of safety. When we turn toward what is real—no matter how tender or difficult—we begin to align with our innate rhythm of healing. Just as the sun rises and the earth responds, so too does our inner world awaken, each part of us moving in harmony toward wholeness. I am here to listen deeply—to attune to the subtle rhythms of your inner world, to reflect what I see, and to walk beside you as we uncover your unique path to healing. The shape of your transformation is not yet known, like a story still unfolding. But if you feel the call to take the next step—or simply to continue—I am here, grounded, prepared, and honored to journey with you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The clinical intake Your first step into therapy - The initial session is where your therapeutic journey begins. We gather insights into your clinical and medical history, life experiences, and goals for treatment. This session sets the foundation for your personalized treatment plan and secures authorization for continued care through your insurance. Follow-up Sessions: Where healing begins to take shape - These ongoing sessions are designed to address the goals outlined in your treatment plan. Together, we explore current challenges, develop coping strategies, and integrate therapeutic tools that help you navigate life more effectively. Treatment Plan Updates Tracking your progress, every step of the way - Every three months, we review your clinical progress and update your treatment plan, as required by state guidelines. This ensures that your therapy remains focused, relevant, and aligned with your clinical growth. Discharge Planning Thoughtful closure when therapy concludes - When your treatment journey is complete, or when life circumstances change, we provide a structured discharge session. This one-time session summarizes your progress and next steps — whether you’re transitioning out of therapy or exploring higher levels of care. Discharge Notes & Clinical Transitions Support for all transitions in care - Discharges can occur for a variety of reasons: completing therapy goals, needing more intensive support, or other life shifts. When appropriate, we provide clinical recommendations and referrals to ensure you continue receiving the care you need.

Aurora Clark, LPC is a masterful therapist whose combined knowledge, skill and wisdom are akin to trauma experts Gabor Maté and Janina Fischer. Aurora’s expertise spans both the scientific and soulful, balancing understanding of the impact trauma has on our brain and nervous system, with her unwavering ability to guide patients towards healing. At 52 years old, I experienced a sort of breakdown, when long-term effects of suppressed childhood trauma and unresolved C-PTSD led to collapse. I was extremely depressed and stuck in a dissociative state, unable to bring myself back. With compassion and care, using IFS/parts work, CBT and DBT, Aurora helped me find my true Self and identify parts of me still burdened by trauma. I continue to work with Aurora to help me heal and integrate fragmented aspects of self, learn healthy coping skills, and retrain my brain. Therapy with Aurora Clark helped bring me back to life, and now, I feel empowered to create a better life than I’ve ever lived.
It’s hard to adequately describe what great therapist Aurora is. Ive had many, many therapists and she’s is the best, by far. Her natural compassion and insight combined with her immense and wide-ranging knowledge make her unique. I have been able to do things I never thought possible because of Aurora’s help. To say she changed my life would be an understatement.
