Aysia Jackson, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Well hello there! My name is Aysia Jackson, LMFT. I am a BIPOC clinician providing services since 2016. I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Oaks College. Besides being a clinician, I'm a mom to two boys and two cats. I'm a believer in positive vibes and healing energy. And most importantly, I'm real, not perfect. My approach There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. I'm trained in multiple evidence-based practices including CBT, trauma-informed therapy, family therapy, and parenting practices (CPP and PCIT). I assist you in identifying and reaching your mental health goals. My focus I have worked with people from all walks of life. My specializations include teens and transitional-aged youth (16-25), the LGBTQIA+ population, couples/families, parents, and adults to address anxiety, ADHD, depression, parenting, relationships, self-esteem, self-care, and trauma. I'm trained in multiple evidence-based practices to support your mental health needs. My communication style Sessions will likely feel conversational. I check in to address any c.o.w.s (crisis of the week), which sometimes is all we do, or we work through processing your thoughts and feelings related to the past, present, or future. These sessions are for you to talk about whatever pressing issues there are, no matter the topic. My journey to mental healthcare My journey to becoming a therapist was long and winding. There were many things I wanted to do and did before ending up here, and this has truly been an amazing journey. Working in mental health is rewarding, and I find joy in learning about others' histories and helping them grow and heal. My goals for you You are the expert of your life, and I'm here to facilitate your path to self-discovery. As we work to meet your goals, I will follow your lead and challenge you when necessary to assist you.
