Aysia Stovall, LPC

Aysia Stovall, LPC

Psychotherapist
DC
Hi, I’m Aysia! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Washington, DC with a Bachelor’s in Human Development and Family Studies and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I’ve worked with children, teens, and adults ages 3–43, supporting clients through anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationships, ADHD, autism, emotional and behavioral concerns, substance use, and everyday stressors. I’m a person-centered therapist who believes you deserve to feel heard, understood, and accepted as you are. My style is warm, genuine, supportive, and real—think “homegirl telling you like it is,” but with professional training, unconditional positive regard, and zero judgment. I’ll listen, laugh with you, challenge you when needed, celebrate your wins, and help you see things from a new perspective. I use person-centered, CBT, trauma-informed, strengths-based, solution-focused, and play-based approaches, tailoring therapy to your needs and goals. At the heart of my work is self-actualization: helping you understand yourself, recognize your strengths, build confidence, and develop the tools to navigate life with greater clarity and intention. Come as you are. We’ll figure out the rest together.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider's self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan's benefits.
