Psychotherapist

Anxiety can make you feel stuck in your own mind — constantly overthinking, doubting yourself, emotionally exhausted, or struggling to keep up with the pressure of everyday life. I work with teens, adults, and couples who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, relationship stress, low self-worth, emotional burnout, and major life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while integrating DBT, ACT, and existential therapy to help clients better understand their thoughts, regulate emotions, improve relationships, and build healthier coping patterns. I also have a strong passion for helping mixed-race individuals and blended families navigate identity, connection, and belonging. Therapy with me is not about judgment or pretending to have everything figured out. It is about building insight, resilience, confidence, and a healthier relationship with yourself so you can live more intentionally and feel more connected in your daily life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients often tell me they feel comfortable opening up with me faster than they expected. I strive to create a space that feels supportive, nonjudgmental, and genuine while also helping clients challenge the patterns that are keeping them stuck. I balance emotional support with practical coping strategies and psychoeducation, helping clients better understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships. Some sessions may focus on processing emotions and experiences, while others may focus on developing tools to manage anxiety, improve communication, strengthen self-worth, or navigate difficult transitions. I believe therapy should feel collaborative, personalized, and meaningful — not cold, overly clinical, or one-size-fits-all.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first sessions, we focus on building trust, understanding your story, and identifying the patterns or stressors that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, or relationship difficulties. We will discuss your goals for therapy and what changes you hope to experience in your life. As we continue working together, I tailor therapy to your unique needs using approaches such as CBT, DBT, ACT, coping skill development, and insight-oriented work. Together, we will work on challenging negative thought patterns, improving emotional regulation, strengthening relationships, building confidence, and creating healthier ways of coping with stress. My goal is to help clients not only feel supported in sessions but also feel more capable, resilient, and intentional outside of therapy.
