Hi there, I'm Bayley! My name is Bayley Dark, LCSW 110397, and I have been working with young children and adolescents for the last 4-6 years. My approach to therapy is to provide all my clients a safe space to verbalize their thoughts and feelings without any judgment and to address any concerns or topics that they feel are important to them. My approach I typically utilize Cognitive-Behavioral, Solution Focused, Humanistic, and Experiential therapy modalities. I allow my clients to guide the sessions and discuss what they deem important. I am a partner alongside your journey, never dictating where or when to go. I am a resource and a safe space for you. My focus Most of my experience is with teenage boys involved in the juvenile justice and child welfare systems. The clients I typically see have severe trauma, histories of substance use, and significant mental health diagnoses. There is no problem too big or topic too sensitive that we cannot tackle together. My communication style I am very honest and straight to the point while still being nurturing and empathic to my clients' needs. My journey to therapy I grew up in a very chaotic and unhealthy environment as a child and teenager, and I wished I had someone to talk to and understand what I was going through. At 17, I decided I wanted to be that person for teenagers experiencing the realities of life but who are not old enough or lack the resources to handle them. I specialize in early childhood and adolescents and have spent the last 6 years working with 5-18-year-olds in outpatient and group home settings. I am passionate about autonomy and client-centered therapy and have dedicated my career to being the therapist and person I needed when I was younger.
