Getting to know Bella Chen

Hi, I'm Bella, a licensed therapist fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Michigan State University and a Bachelor's degree from Minzu University of China. Feeling lost in the quest for your "life purpose"? Tired of chasing one credential after another only to feel unprepared in your new ventures? Struggling to juggle work, family, and self-care? Or maybe you're just overwhelmed by all the different roles you have to play? No worries, I'm here to help high performers like you manage the stress life throws at us. We'll explore your mind, body, and spirit using the cognitive behavioral model, mindfulness exercises, and somatic techniques. Together, we'll identify what's not working and chart a path to a new balance. Remember, you're a work in progress, a masterpiece in the making. In our sessions, I bring compassion and evidence-based techniques to help you break free from just existing and start truly living. I look forward to seeing you in the virtual therapy room!

What should a new client know about working with you?

The goal of our first session is to get to know you and gain a deeper understanding of your needs and goals. We will talk about your current life, challenges and history to uncover potential contributing factors. Together, we will set the therapy goals and decide the approaches work best for you. By the end, you will have a good understanding of the direction of your healing. In future sessions, we work towards goals one step at a time, following your pace, by gaining insights, processing feelings, learning new skills and practicing them. We will also discuss your progress and challenges along the way. After each session, you will feel more connected with yourself, and more confident in tackling your challenges.

In-network insurances

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
