Getting to know Benjamin Murphy

Benjamin Murphy is a Licensed Psychotherapist and Life Coach who specializes in helping adults and couples navigate anxiety, depression, anger management, trauma, and relationship challenges. Ben works with individuals facing family issues, grief, stress, men’s issues, and life transitions, offering a supportive and strengths-based approach to therapy. His work is grounded in helping clients build emotional awareness, develop healthy coping strategies, and reconnect with their sense of purpose and identity. After a career-ending injury in college, Ben was sent into a full identity crisis. He coped with the pain—mental, emotional, and physical—through alcohol and drugs, not knowing how to process. That self-destructive, pain-avoidant behavior continued until he joined therapeutic support groups, and began working with a therapist, integrating the traumas he had experienced and developed the life skills needed to heal and rebuild. Ben is a member of the Non-Ordinary Therapy Co., a groundbreaking virtual practice that offers a diverse range of non-traditional therapeutic modalities. We aim to revolutionize the treatment of anxiety, depression, and trauma through innovative therapeutic approaches like EMDR, DBT, psychoanalysis, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatics, mindfulness, hypnosis, meditation, breathwork, dreamwork, and holistic therapies that help uncover unconscious processes blocking you. We go beyond traditional talk therapy. Our therapists look beneath the surface to help people understand the root causes of their challenges and create lasting, meaningful change. We blend trauma-informed care, mind–body practices, and mindfulness with other evidence-based approaches.

What a wonderful guy he is. Although I was a bit skeptical about him but just after 1 session all that skepticism went away.
Thanks to my friend for recommending him to me. I highly appreciate what he has done for me. Thank you so much.

His background in life coaching really shines through in his sessions. He doesn't just listen, he helps you develop a clear, actionable plan to move forward. I felt truly understood and left with the tools I needed to handle stress much more effectively.
Great service, highly recommended to everyone!
He is an exceptional therapist who listens deeply, asks insightful questions, and creates a space where you feel genuinely understood.
I’m grateful for the support and guidance I’ve received. He created a safe and thoughtful space that helped me gain confidence and real progress in my life.
He is unlike your regular therapists who just nod and ask how does that make you feel? Instead, he is incredibly practical and goal-oriented. 5 star recommendations from me....!!!
I started seeing him during a period where I felt completely stuck in a loop of overthinking. If you are looking for someone to just nod and say 'How does that make you feel?', he isn't it. He is incredibly practical and helps you build a 'toolkit' for real-world application.
In the past, I have seen a lot of therapists but I did not see any sort of desired outcome. At last, a friend of mine recommended me Mr. Benjamin. I was quite hasitant in the start but finally gave it a go. From the very first session I started to feel good. He listened me carefully and gave the responses accordigly. I highly recommend him to anyone who seeks help.
Working with Benjamin has been a truly grounding experience. He strikes a perfect balance between being a compassionate listener and offering direct and practical guidance. His approach is relateable and empowering making it easy to tackle complex issues like anxiety and relationship stress without feeling judged. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a therapist who is both empathetic and goal-oriented.
He is a fantastic listener and a highly skilled therapist. He is very observant, compassionate, and helped me gain so much clarity on my goals. I’m so glad I found him—truly a top-tier provider.
