Getting to know Berkley Cobb

Hello, my name is Berkley Cobb, and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist. I like to think therapy is like talking with a trusted friend who is educated in relationships and emotions and has experience helping others. I do not like being put into a box, and I do not believe in a "one size fits all" route to therapy. If you like homework, I'll give you homework! If you want me to challenge you, that's what you'll get! We find what works for you. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University – Los Angeles, my Bachelor’s from the University of California San Diego, and my Associate’s from Santa Monica College. This background, combined with my experience, allows me to draw from various therapeutic modalities to best fit my clients’ needs. What I love about being a therapist is helping people exceed their own expectations. My clients can expect to feel heard and supported. They come to me to help them see an outside perspective and to use tools I have learned through education and experience that have helped countless others. I’m considered an eclectic therapist, pulling from different modalities to best fit my client. My ideal client is ready for change. They have had enough of feeling stuck. I work well with adults, parents, teens, LGBTQ+ individuals, parents of children with different needs, people dealing with anxiety or depression, those stuck in unhelpful patterns, and couples. I also love working with other therapists! I have a long history of working with the neurodiverse community (autistic and ADHD). I am equipped to work with people dealing with depression, anxiety, life changes, and anyone looking to grow. Although sessions can get intense, I have a relaxed approach. One day the tone can be serious, another light and filled with laughter. I strive to meet you where you’re at. I’ve been around the block, so not much would surprise me. I am wholeheartedly accepting of all people and their situations.
